INSTITUTION AS MATERIAL INSTITUTE ( IamI )
(IamI) is an ongoing durational project that provides a forum for practices that are in relation to the pedagogy/art intersection. The main purpose of the institute is to figure out how stakeholders of institutions can use those same institutions as material(s) for their creative practice(s).
Testing the pliability of the institution is key to this project. Jorge Lucero has been invited to enact this "testing" at Universities all over the US, Canada, and Europe including the University of Georgia, Athens, Syracuse University, The University of Toronto, BYU, the University of British Columbia, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Amsterdam University of the Arts, among others.
